Anger doesn’t come close to what I feel. It’s beyond that. How the hell did I let some little five-foot nothing girl fuck me over this badly? She isn’t like us. She isn’t like her family either, but she is a conniving little bitch. This was her plan all along. I can feel it in my bones. She used me, and I was stupid enough to fall for it. Not anymore. She wants to be my wife? I’ll show her exactly what that feels like. I will break her will to hide from that other bastard. I will have her wishing she never stepped foot into my clubhouse after this.

“Can we talk about this?” she asks from across the room. Another state, another hotel. I turn my angry glare in her direction and stare her down.

“I don’t think there’s really anything to talk about, do you?”

“Yes, there is. You don’t understand my position, Preacher.”

“Oh, Mrs. Wallace, I do. I totally understand it,” I say using my, no, scratch that, our last name. She flinches at the word, but I smile. Fuck her. She did this shit to herself.

“We can get an annulment,” she suggests, and I laugh out loud this time.

“I don’t think so.”

“What? Why not?”

“Let me explain somethin’ to you. You fucked me over, Gaia. You put a big fuckin’ red target on my back for anyone in your family, includin’ your brother. Do you think that once they know about this, they won’t come after me? After you? Do you think that if your brother’s plan doesn’t pan out that Leonardo won’t come hunt you down?” My eyes stay locked with hers. She never thought that over. Clearly, she was being juvenile but now it’s my turn.

“Enzo’s plan will work,” she says, not sounding so sure of that.

“What’s the difference now? You tied yourself to me. You married me! You don’t know me, Gaia. You don’t know my life, you don’t know my past, and you sure as hell don’t know what it’s like to be mine but you’re gonna find out. And because of how you went about it, you’re gonna find out the hard way. Now, take all your clothes off,” I demand. She looks afraid and she should be. I’m done playing nice with her. She wants to fuck me over, then that’s the game we’ll play. “Now!” I roar louder this time. Gaia jolts but quickly starts taking her clothes off. Even though I’m pissed at her, I can’t stop the way my body responds to her. She’s fucking gorgeous, with curves my tongue knows by heart. When she’s completely naked, I stand up and pull my phone out. Walking over, I sit on the edge of the bed and dial Grave’s number with one hand and slowly slide my fingers up her thigh with the other.

“Yeah?”

“We got a situation that we need to talk about. Over the phone isn’t gonna do it,” I say, keeping my eyes on her. Slipping a finger inside of her, she’s already so wet for me.
